Nov. 18 4:54 PM by evildeathsyth

What's the problem? The 20-song Rock Band Track Pack released yesterday wasn't enough for you? Fine, have it your way. Harmonix's weekly release this time is hitting hard on the punk and metal scene with three 3-packs added to the Rock Band Music Store starting today. This will bring Rock Band into the 400 mark for content, blowing Guitar Hero out of the water. See all the tracks and prices below.

Rock Band DLC: Get Some Foo

Nov. 11 8:27 PM by coloradojoe1

The Foo Fighters kick ass, plain and simple. Thankfully gamers can now add more Foo songs to the initially puny collection on Rock Band and Rock Band 2 through the recently released "The Colour and the Shape" album.

The album, available for 1600MS points ($20) in its entirety or 160MS points ($1.99) per song, gives gamers access to 14 Foo Fighters songs. Sweet! "The Colour and the Shape" is available for download on the Xbox 360 right now, poor PS3 gamers have to wait until Thursday.

Hit the jump for all the details.

Rock Band DLC: Gerald Ford, Abe Lincoln, Dick Cheney

Nov. 4 3:57 PM by coloradojoe1

If She Was Elected President She'd Be Named Baberaham Lincoln - Happy Election Day! In order to celebrate the naming of our next Commander-in-Chief, Rock Band is offering up some DLC from the appropriately named music group The Presidents of the United States. I have no idea who these guys are but I hope they wear masks on stage of Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter just like the surfer bank robbers in Point Break. Also available for download is "I Don't Care" by Fallout Boy and Hinder's "Use Me".

If paying for songs isn't your thing, no problem. Today is the day Rock Band is offering up the 20 free downloadable songs I mentioned a few weeks ago. Don't get too excited though, you probably haven't heard of any of them.

Hit the jump for all the details.

AC/DC Joins Rock Band, Autumn of Arcade Wii Point Winners

Nov. 2 5:41 PM by coloradojoe1

Starting today can gamers pick up the AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack. I know what you're thinking..."Awesome! I love AC/DC and they rock! Now I actually have an excuse to wear that school boy outfit I bought 2 months ago." True, true but this isn't as cool as it sounds. First of all, the 18 live song disc is going to set you back 40 clams. 40 clams!. Even worse, you have to go to Wal-Mart to pick it up. That's the ONLY place you can get it. You can't download it, you can't go to the more convenient Best Buy or the much cleaner Target, its The Mart or nothing (okay, you CAN get it at Sam's Club but its all the same evil corporation). I'm curious to see how well this sells. Read the press release for all the details.

On a brighter note, the three 2000 Wii Point card winners are listed below. Congrats! Log in to GamePro.com tomorrow and look for a PM with your code. The final week of GamePro Arcade's Autumn of Arcade starts later this evening. Look for a post on it in a few hours.

Wii Point card winners: GEMPadre036, Joey_V5, ShortHairedOffender

Rock Band DLC: Don't Blink Or You'll Miss It

Oct. 28 6:20 PM by coloradojoe1

So a Blink 182 song is available for download on Rock Band today. Get the title of the post?!? Don't Blink...or you'll miss it? Hahaha....yeah that was pathetic, I know. And it isn't even true. You can probably download it for the next few years. I apologize. I haven't been getting enough rest lately. Between Fable 2, Fallout 3 and Dead Space I average about 2 hours of sleep a night. And just like an episode of Star Trek the Next Generation I saw once ("Schisms", Season 6, Episode 5), not getting enough REM sleep causes hallucinations, a lack of a sense of humor, and a strange attraction to unattractive women (its the only explanation I could come up with for my crush on Sarah Jessica Parker).

Heck, the Blink 182 song isn't even the best stuff you can get for Rock Band today. Songs from the Psychedelic Furs, Silversun Pickups and Siouxsie & the Banshees are also available right now (or Thursday if you're a PS3 owner).

Check out all the details after the jump.

Oct. 18 9:10 PM by coloradojoe1

Not enough Nirvana on Rock Band for you? Well, that's about to change. Starting Tuesday gamers will be able to grab 7 new Nirvana tracks including the awesomely named "Territorial Pissings" which, oddly enough, used to be one of the names of my Rock Band band. Some others? Poop Shovel, Fecal Matter and Sonic Death Monkey.

AC/DC Comes to Rock Band, Via Wal-Mart

Sep. 30 5:38 PM by coloradojoe1

After reading the press release sent out today (see below) that said AC/DC was coming to Rock Band in November, I was pretty stoked. Sure the pricing was a little absurd but I figured I'd just buy a few of my favorite AC/DC songs, not the whole track pack. Oops.

Turns out gamers don't have a choice. Not only do you have to buy the whole pack, you have to go to Wal-Mart to do it. This was confirmed earlier today on Kotaku. While gamers can download the tracks straight from the disc to Rock Band or Rock Band 2 at no charge, forcing AC/DC fans to cough up $30-$40 AND go to Wal-Mart is just plain excessive. I love "Thunderstruck" as much as anybody, but not that much.

Rock Band DLC: Megadeth

Sep. 16 5:09 PM by coloradojoe1

Starting today, Rock Band 1 and 2 Xbox 360 gamers can download Megadeth's album "Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?". PS3 gamers have to wait until Thursday. Thrash metal isn't really my thing, in fact it scares me a bit. I'm more of a Susan-Dey-playing-an-unplugged-keyboard-on-The-Partridge-Family kind of guy. But just judging from the name of the band - MEGADETH - I'm sure they're perfect for Rock Band.

Rock Band DLC: Locksley

Aug. 30 8:11 AM by coloradojoe1

Rolling Stone magazine has called Locksley one of the "25 Best Bands on MySpace". I'm not exactly sure what that means, I'm more of a Facebook guy, but evidently its a compliment. I've never heard of Locksley either, my first thought was Kevin Costner was forming a band named after his character in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Either way gamers will soon be able to download three Locksley tunes.

Rock Band DLC: Whip It, Whip It Good

Aug. 15 3:35 PM by coloradojoe1

Next week Rock Band fans will be able to download songs from two classic 80's bands, Duran Duran and Devo. And while you won't actually be able to sing "Whip It" (sorry for the false advertising, it was too tempting of a title) you can jam to Devo's "Girl U Want" and "Through Being Cool". If wearing a flower pot on your head isn't your bag, feather your hair and sing along to Duran Duran songs "Rio" and "Girls On Film".

Also available next week is the song "Get Your Rock On" from MTV's The American Mall. I have no idea what that is.

Each Devo and Duran song is available for $1.99(160MS points) on the 360 and PS3. "Get Your Rock On" will sell for $.99 (80MS points). Read on for all the details.
