The Foo Fighters kick ass, plain and simple. Thankfully gamers can now add more Foo songs to the initially puny collection on Rock Band and Rock Band 2 through the recently released "The Colour and the Shape" album.
The album, available for 1600MS points ($20) in its entirety or 160MS points ($1.99) per song, gives gamers access to 14 Foo Fighters songs. Sweet! "The Colour and the Shape" is available for download on the Xbox 360 right now, poor PS3 gamers have to wait until Thursday.

If She Was Elected President She'd Be Named Baberaham Lincoln - Happy Election Day! In order to celebrate the naming of our next Commander-in-Chief, Rock Band is offering up some DLC from the appropriately named music group The Presidents of the United States. I have no idea who these guys are but I hope they wear masks on stage of Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter just like the surfer bank robbers in Point Break. Also available for download is "I Don't Care" by Fallout Boy and Hinder's "Use Me".
If paying for songs isn't your thing, no problem. Today is the day Rock Band is offering up the 20 free downloadable songs I mentioned a few weeks ago. Don't get too excited though, you probably haven't heard of any of them.

Unicorns. Dragons. A good decision by George W. Bush. What do these things have in common? You just don't see them. Feel free to add PSN cards to the list. Those bad boys are harder to find than a good DeNiro movie in the last 10 years.
Well, this week is your chance to earn a one of these rare PSN card. Autumn of Arcade wraps up its final week by offering up three free $20 cards. How? Same way as the last 2 weeks. Just tell us what you'd buy with it. Starting right now, post a comment on any blog post this week and you're entered to win. Mega Man 9? PixelJunk Monsters? Siren? One of these could be yours if the comment is right. And randomly selected next Sunday. Good luck.
This month we are throwing out something special for all you gamers. We have selected some of the scariest games from flash to console. We searched under the bed in the closet and even the pits of hell to find these titles. Some of us may not of made it back, but those of us who did compiled this list. These titles are so horrifying that some of you might curl up into the fetal position screaming for your mommies and wetting your huggies! So not that you are prepared, let's get on with the list. Below Each title will be the Link to get to these gore fest titles.
Aside from "Yes", "Sex", and "Kumquat" there is no better word in the English language than "Free". In fact, its my favorite four letter word. If you dig free stuff as much as I do (if you don't, please explain why) and own Battlefield: Bad Company, you're in luck. Starting today, B:BC owners can download the Community Choice Map Pack for...free.
Don't believe me? To good to be true? Fine, read the press release.
Battlefield: Bad Company players can download the "Community Choice Map Pack" via PlayStation Update starting today and via Xbox LIVE Marketplace starting tomorrow. Included in this pack are four brand new conquest multiplayer maps, gameplay enhancements and PlayStation 3 Trophy support - all for free!Previously, players had the chance to vote on which two single-player levels they wanted to see as multiplayer maps and Par for the Course and Acta Non Verba won with the most community votes. The other two maps available were selected by the Bad Company development team which includes Ghost Town and Crossing Over, coinciding with the community's #3 and #4 choice.
So a Blink 182 song is available for download on Rock Band today. Get the title of the post?!? Don't Blink...or you'll miss it? Hahaha....yeah that was pathetic, I know. And it isn't even true. You can probably download it for the next few years. I apologize. I haven't been getting enough rest lately. Between Fable 2, Fallout 3 and Dead Space I average about 2 hours of sleep a night. And just like an episode of Star Trek the Next Generation I saw once ("Schisms", Season 6, Episode 5), not getting enough REM sleep causes hallucinations, a lack of a sense of humor, and a strange attraction to unattractive women (its the only explanation I could come up with for my crush on Sarah Jessica Parker).
Heck, the Blink 182 song isn't even the best stuff you can get for Rock Band today. Songs from the Psychedelic Furs, Silversun Pickups and Siouxsie & the Banshees are also available right now (or Thursday if you're a PS3 owner).

One last thing. Despite the fact that over 3000 gamers entered the GP Arcade Little Big Planet beta contest, I still have a couple of codes left (some people were nice enough to return their codes because they received them somewhere else). First three people to email me can have them.
XBLA Winner - FrostyMelon, PSN Winner - Brickis
The Partridge Family's got nothing on me. My son and I are leaders of the band Death Blossom (formerly known as Sonic Death Monkey and Kathleen Turner Overdrive) and recently started touring. We've played a couple of gigs in Boston, moved on to New York, and we're earning new fans every day. To earn extra money we're selling DB buttons, posters, stickers, key chains and t-shirts. We even have a line of 6 inch figures in the works. That's right, Death Blossom is about to hit it BIG!
Well, if "big" is playing Rock Band 2 in the basement with my son while wailing away to The Who and Fleetwood Mac. In real life I'm not a musician, but now at rockband.com gamers can make their own customizable gear just like a real group. All of the items listed above can be made specifically for your in-game band.
As a huge nerd, I find this pretty cool. And if you think I didn't immediately head to rockband.com and start creating a Death Blossom t-shirt you're sadly mistaken. Read on to check out all the details, including pricing info.
