Magnum PI meets James Bond meets Shaft with a pinch of Scooby Doo. That's the most appropriate description for Episode 4 of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People - "Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective". Every time a new episode of this series comes out gamers can always count on two things, its going to funny and a new theme will take the HomestarRunner characters in a completely new direction. This latest offering is no exception, and thanks to a more streamlined storyline, Strong Bad is starring in his best game yet.

GamePro Arcade's Autumn of Arcade may be over, but that doesn't mean we're done giving away prizes. Not by a long shot. This week I'm giving out one free code for the very awesome Bejeweled Twist, which you can download and play on your PC. This recently released game (which would cost twenty of your own dollars if you had to pay for it yourself) can be yours, if you're lucky.
So how do you win? Simple. There are a ton of great games available right now - Fable II, Fallout 3, CoD: World at War, Gears 2, etc., etc. - but if you could only buy ONE game this holiday season, what would it be? All you have to do is answer this question in the comments section of this post and you're qualified to win (through random drawing Sun.) a copy of Bejeweled Twist. Good luck!

Chances are you've probably heard of a little game called Bejeweled. Even the most unenlightened of gamers has seen it somewhere because its available on just about every electronic device ever made. Cell phones, PC's, iPods, PDA's, consoles - you name the device and you can find a version of Bejeweled for it. It's the video game equivalent of CSI.
Not that anyone's complaining. With 350 million copies downloaded and more than 25 million units sold, its one of the most popular casual titles of all time. Recently PopCap Games, the brains behind the Bejeweled franchise, released its latest model. It may have taken four years to get from Bejeweled 2 to the brand new Bejeweled Twist, but at least it was worth the wait. A souped up version of a long time favorite is exactly what fans of the series have been waiting for.
It's that time of the month again. Its time for another episode of Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People (unattractive people need not apply). Episode 3, "Baddest of the Bands", does nothing to sully the fine reputation the series has built so far. In fact, Baddest deftly moves from the political satire of Episode 2 into the world of rock and roll culture, a place just waiting to be spoofed, which Strong Bad does marvelously in this latest offering.
Want a zombie game that will scare you and give you a thirst for bloodlust? Well Dead Frontier has you covered, and its also our Flash Game of the Month. With its creepy atmosphere, intense music and edgy game play this flash game is sure to ensure pleasure. Dead Frontier is a top down shooter similar to the old GTA style of game play. First you choose your difficulty and in making that decision you will determine what weapons you start off with and of course how difficult the game is.Your objective is to make to the extraction point where supposedly a chopper is waiting for you to whisk you to safety. Upon hearing this you and two of your NPC buddies start your journey to that point. Along the way you will encounter numerous bad guys ranging from floor crawling zombies to flying birds that just want to eat your eyes.
Mike Stemmle is a gaming industry vet. After graduating from Stanford Mike spent a number of years at LucasArts working on such titles as Star Wars Battlefront II, Afterlife and Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. Stemmle left LucasArts to join Telltale games and is the designer for Episode 3 of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People. Recently he took some time to talk to GamePro about "Baddest of the Bands", set to release on PC and Wii this Monday.
X³: Terran Conflict is a brand new, stand-alone game set in the universe of X³. It is the culmination of the X trilogy and the vast regions of spaced are explored in this title in a grand finale that takes us all the way across the galaxy to Earth. Gamers can take on the roles of different characters in the X universe, or of a Terran military pilot, and experience a multitude of stories in the largest X universe ever featured. While this sounds like a never ending game some, if not most, of the plot lines are not that enthralling thus making your decision on what to do limited. Take an RTS and add a complex system of menus on top of more menus and you sum up X³: Terran Conflict. This is a space shooter flight sim strategy game. Yes, it is a robust description but there is a lot in this game.
If you've been looking for a "Behind the Music/The Office" style look at Strong Bad's latest episode of his cool game from attractive people (and why wouldn't you be), check out the above video. The hilarious third episode moves from the political satire of episode two, into the ripe for parody world of rock and roll. Set to release sometime this month, Episode 3 "Baddest of the Bands", sees Strong Bad let down his hair and jam. Actually, in this episode he's more David-Silver-booking-acts-for-the-Peach-Pit-After-Dark than Eric Clapton but you'll enjoy it anyway.
Look for the review on its yet to be determined release date. An interview with Baddest of the Bands designer Mike Stemmle will be posted Thursday.
Autumn of Arcade - GPArcade's AofA marches on. Still haven't posted a comment yet? What are you waiting for?!? Its the only way you can win one of three 1600MS point cards I'm giving away this week.
What would you say if I told you, you could play an online MMOFPS (massively- multiplayer online first person shooter) for free! Well now you can, Combat Arms is a free online MMOFPS brought to you by NEXON. You're basically playing a clone of Counter Strike with added features such as customizable weapons and outfits. The main focus for this is to get you into clans. It's beneficial to your survival and to your rank to work as a team and form a clan to work with. This feature actually works well if you get a group of guys together to play. But playing solo isn't so bad either. Just because you can't find any friends to play with doesn't mean you will get owned on a daily basis in this title. You will have to work your ass off in order to get higher up in the ranks and such but hey imagine how good of a sniper you will be after all that playing.
