Rock Band DLC: Gerald Ford, Abe Lincoln, Dick Cheney

Nov. 4 3:57 PM by Terry Terrones

If She Was Elected President She'd Be Named Baberaham Lincoln - Happy Election Day! In order to celebrate the naming of our next Commander-in-Chief, Rock Band is offering up some DLC from the appropriately named music group The Presidents of the United States. I have no idea who these guys are but I hope they wear masks on stage of Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter just like the surfer bank robbers in Point Break. Also available for download is "I Don't Care" by Fallout Boy and Hinder's "Use Me".

If paying for songs isn't your thing, no problem. Today is the day Rock Band is offering up the 20 free downloadable songs I mentioned a few weeks ago. Don't get too excited though, you probably haven't heard of any of them.

Hit the jump for all the details.

Harmonix and MTV Games announced today the addition of five new tracks to the Rock Band® Music Store catalog of downloadable content. To celebrate the upcoming election this week's lineup will feature a 3-pack from alternative rock band The Presidents of the United States of America , which includes hits "Dune Buggy," "Feather Pluckn'"and "Ladybug." The three tracks join one of the band's best selling singles "Lump," which is already featured on the Rock Band 2 soundtrack.

In addition, Fall Out Boy offers up its new single "I Don't Care," for the Rock Band Music Store. The track comes from the band's new album, Folie á Deux, due out December 16 2008. "I Don't Care" will become the third Rock Band DLC release from Fall Out Boy. The band's first single "Dead On Arrival" was featured on the original Rock Band soundtrack and "This Ain't A Scene," "It's An Arms Race" was released as downloadable content in May.

Plus, rock band Hinder joins the Rock Band catalog of downloadable content for the first time with the release of "Use Me," the single featured on the band's new album Take It To the Limit launching the same day.

As previously announced, MTV Games and Harmonix will also release 20 free DLC tracks for Rock Band 2 owners [1] on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. The 20 free tracks, which range all genres of rock from up-and-coming artists, combined with the 84 tracks already available on the Rock Band 2 game disc make for a total of 104 songs on the Rock Band 2 soundtrack. The 20 free DLC tracks can be accessed by using the DLC redemption code located within the games retail packaging.

1.) I love your picture choice for the top.
2.) I would totally wear those masks if I was a band with a name like that.
3.) It's tuesday, and I still haven't gotten that PM with the code for my Wii Points. When can I expect those?

You should have gotten it already. Let me check with my editor.

Nothing yet. Is my account glitched?

Lol, so glad election day is over, hopefully our new president will make changes for the best for us all, anyway, please send me a psn card so i can get some cool threads for my sachboy this week.

Okay, here's the word straight from my boss, Tae Kim's, mouth...or email. "Have him log into his GamePro account and add me as a friend, then send me a private message." He'll then send you your Wii point code.

I feel like an idiot for asking this, but how do you add people as friends? I've tried everything but can't figure it out.

Go to his profile and hit the add as friend button.
