Autumn of Arcade: Wii Week

Oct. 26 10:41 AM by Terry Terrones

It's the second week of GamePro Arcade's Autumn of Arcade! Now is your chance to win one of three 2000 Wii point cards we're giving away. In week 1 GPArcade gave out three 1600MS point cards (see the post below for the winners), now its time for Wii gamers to get some love. Starting today, with this post, and running through Saturday all you have to do is comment on any GPArcade post throughout the week and tell us what you'd buy with your points. All winners will be selected at random and only one comment will count per contestant. Winners will be announced next Sunday.

Good luck!

With 2000 Wii Points, the best buy is, hands down, Tetris Party

World of Goo, Ocarina of Time, and a Strong Bad episode

I really want to play "World of Goo"

I'd get the internet browser since i have bought it yet.

I would probably get Tetris Party.

You got to go with Y's 1 & 2. Also, Super Mario Legend of the Seven Stars.

This is tough. I suppose I'd buy some Donkey Kong Country games, or maybe some classic Super Mario Bros. Then again, I think I lost my copy of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Master Quest for the GameCube, so I may go for that on the Virtual Console. Of course, I've heard good things about Strong Bad, World of Goo, Lost Winds and other WiiWare titles, so I could give one or two of those a whirl. Or maybe some other Mario games... Super Mario World or Super Mario 64, perhaps? Pokemon Snap could be good, I loved that game years ago. I never gave Paper Mario a chance, I guess I could now. Honestly, most anything in the Nintendo 64 section of the Virtual Console could be worth buying. I do already have Star Fox Command from there though, as well as Street Fighter II for the SNES in it's respective section. There's Bubble Bobble, which seems like fun, and a few others I've never heard of which I may research and then download. I hear Dr Mario RX for WiiWare has online play, that might be nice. Hmm...

I have no idea what I'd buy.

if i had the wii points i would buy songs for guitar hero or super mario bros games

I would get World of Goo and Mega Man 2

I think I'd pick up World of Goo and Castlevania 2!

I think I'd pick up World of Goo and Castlevania 2!

Super Mario World of course!!!

I would buy Super Mario RPG and/or Paper Mario 64.

World Of Goo and Ninja Gaiden.

with my wii points i would like kirby and the crystal shards my son is going crazy now.

Maybe some World of Goo and a Strong Bad Episode.

I'd have to check out a WiiWare title as I have yet to get one yet, they seem pretty fun and interesting to me. And either revisit the nostalgic-ness of Ocarina of Time or get a classic I may have missed.

I would buy World of Goo and the original Mega man.

megaman 9
tertis party or mayb a classic game like super mario rpg

'Super Metroid' and 'MM9.'

Mega man 9 and that young River City Ransom!~

I'd have to go with World of Goo as of now.

Is Zelda: Ocarina of Time available? If so I'd get that. If not, I'll just save them.

I would buy The Legend of Zelda:A Link to the Past.

I would use them to buy all of the Mario classics for my newly won Wii.

Uhm, strong bad, duh! Then some mario games, and a few zelda titles. oooh! and when it comes out ( i know it will) golden eye 007.

I would definitely pick up Ocarina of Time. Great game that I've been craving to play again for a long time.

I would play OOT.

I will use the wii points to get wave race 64.

I would buy Castlevania 2 and World of Goo

There's so many games to choose from, it's difficult to decide...

Super Mario World, Super Mario RPG, Legend of Zelda (various ones), and such more, whatever I can find that catches my interest.

DLC for Megaman 9, and Mario Super RPG.

With the 20000 Wii Points I'd buy Tetris Party and Super Mario RPG. Two of my all time favorite games.

i would get super mario rpg since ibe never played it before

I'd get Super Mario RPG as I've never played it and hear good things about it. Also would have to get River City Ransom, one of my favorite old school games.

If I had the Wii points, I would buy the internet channel so that I can send emails on special occasions to my friends and family whilst on my Wii, and I would also buy a copy of Bomberman Blast for my brother, he's a big fan of it, and enjoys playing on Wii a lot, so why not combine the two!

I've been hoping to pick up Super Mario RPG, World of Goo, F-Zero X, Ocarina of Time, SMB1, and SMB3, Star Fox 64, River City Ransom, Super Mario 64, and I just noticed that they added Mario Golf. 2000 points would at least be a start, so that I could buy a few of these games.

I would use the Wii points for Super Mario RPG and Mega Man 9!

I would buy Metroid and Super Metroid. I'll buy World of Goo some day when I have more points.

Wow,what to buy? I owned all of the nintendo consoles, so this is a great opportunity to check out some of the sega games I've missed over the years. Sonic always looked like great fun. On the other hand, there are still so many nintendo classics I never played... A kids budget is limited to the number of holidays in a year. Now, being able to go back in time, having the freedom to buy everything, is daunting. The restriction now isn't money but time, oh the luxury!
So; definitely one of the sonics, and maybe earthbound, or bomberman for some oldschool multiplayer.

Toki Tori has been on my radar for a while now, I'd probably pick that up, and maybe some Halloween-y games, like Castlevania 4 and Splatterhouse.
