Not enough Nirvana on Rock Band for you? Well, that's about to change. Starting Tuesday gamers will be able to grab 7 new Nirvana tracks including the awesomely named "Territorial Pissings" which, oddly enough, used to be one of the names of my Rock Band band. Some others? Poop Shovel, Fecal Matter and Sonic Death Monkey.

Harmonix and MTV Games announced today the addition of seven new tracks to the Rock Band® Music Store catalog of downloadable content. This weeks mammoth lineup features seven master recordings from legendary, alternative grunge band, Nirvana, including, "Breed," "Lounge Act," "On a Plain," "Polly," "Something in the Way," "Stay Away," and "Territorial Pissings." These tracks join "In Bloom" from the original Rock Band soundtrack and "Drain You" featured on the Rock Band 2 soundtrack to make for a total of nine Nirvana songs available in the Rock Band music catalog. Each Track will be available starting October 21, 2008, for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and October 23, 2008, for PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system. I am curious to see how well Guitar Hero does in the market...they're finally getting around to where RB has been for sometime. And, in my opinion, Guitar Hero still has a lot of ground to make up.
At one time GH was one of those 'must buy' games for me, but now that I am playing RB and buying the RB DLC...Guitar Hero is now a 'may rent to check it out during my vacation at xmas' type of games.
